Speaker of Ekiti State house of Assembly, Dr Adewale Ominirin and his Deputy Tunde Orisalade have gone before the Abuja Federal High court to State their Grievances.
Most recently, their impeachment from their various positions as Speaker and Deputy speaker respectively. Sources say the duo were impeached last Thursday by 10 individuals who sat in chambers, 3 of whose identities remain unknown. A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Dele Olugbemi, who had acted as a pro-team speaker during the session, was elected the new Speaker while the Deputy was replaced with a female Speaker, Mrs Abeni Olayinka.
