CONFUSION AT LAGOS AIRPORT AS CUSTOMS AND CLEARING AGENTS CLASH

Business activities at the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos, were brought to a Halt yesterday, Wednesday, as a result of a clash between Officials of the Nigerian Customs service and Clearing Agents allegedly over the manhandling of a Senior Customs officer.
A correspondent of the Punch Newspaper showed that armored personnel carrier and about 8 customs patrol vehicles were drafted to the scene of the incident. There was also shooting of tear gas by the NCS. Air force Police and soldiers were also drafted to the scene to forestall further break down of law and order.
Fortunately, No one was killed in the incident.
