Speaking at the United States Institute of of Health (NIH), United States Scientists, described the results of the first Human trial of the experimental vaccine as safe and "promising" . They mentioned that twenty volunteers had been immunized in the United States and none of them showed major side-effects rather all of them produced Antibodies.
Volunteers who were divided into two groups were given either a low dose or high dose of the Vaccine. Those given higher doses produced stronger anti-bodies. It was also discovered that 7 of the high dose and 2 of he low dose group volunteers produced T-cell immune responses which could be important for protection against the Ebola Virus. Dr Fauci of the NIH told abc news that the long term goal was to produce a vaccine which would protect against Future Out breaks of the Virus.
