According to sources, Over the weekend. about 3.7 million people gathered in Paris to march for freedom of expression and to unite against terrorism. The decision to do this came about after 12 people were killed by terrorists in France last week. In attendance at the event were various dignitaries and heads of states. They include heads of Britain, Germany and Israel. However neither Obama nor his secretary of state were in attendance. Obama commented on the Paris attacks on Friday in Tennessee, saying he wants the people of France to know the United States "stands with you today, stands with you tomorrow."
